Project: The Impact Of Environmental Factors On Fetal Brain - PFAS
I am a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California San Diego. My research focuses on studying the impact of PFAS on human brain neurodevelopment by using Cortical Organoids.
During my PhD at the Laboratory of Experimental Parkinsonism at the University of Buenos Aires, I characterized the role of striatal interneurons in L-DOPA-induced dyskinesia, using a mouse model of Parkinson’s disease. My increasing interest in genomics and bioinformatics led me to study clinical genetics, bioinformatics and programming, and a fellowship at the Laboratory of Genomics of the Garrahan Pediatric Hospital before starting my current postdoc at UCSD.
I am curious and proactive, always looking for opportunities to learn and to broaden my skills particularly in (neuro)genomics and bioinformatics.
